Elon Musk allowed a hypothetical look at the test tunnel of his Boring Company in the Los Angeles area for the weekend. The entrepreneur, who heads Tesla and SpaceX, told Twitter about moving through the tunnel.
“Tonight walked the entire length of the tunnel, dug Boring Company near Los Angeles. Breathtaking. Everything is preparing for the big party on October 10, ”- wrote Ilon Musk.
Musk also posted a video with a demonstration of the tunnel under the headquarters of SpaceX in Hawthorne, California. Upon completion, the test tunnel should function for a length of 2 miles. The concept of the loop includes a “sliding ramp” transporting a vehicle under the movement of Los Angeles at speeds of up to 250 km / h. The Boring Company was awarded a contract to build a loop at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. After December 10, everyone will have the opportunity to visit the test tunnel. Already on December 11, Musk promises free public travel.
