Tesla inside The Boring Company test tunnel

The public will be able to get a chance to make the first test drive in the futuristic, high-speed underground tunnel of The Boring Company on December 10th. Chief Executive Officer Ilon Mask (also the owner of SpaceX and Tesla Motors) wrote on Twitter on October 21 that the underground tunnel was almost complete. December 10 will be a special event with free trips.

The tunnel resembles a small skate platform capable of transporting a car near Los Angeles at a speed of 250 km / h. Mask presented plans to create a system of stations in the local metro area. He also said that he would like to include transit containers capable of carrying pedestrians and cyclists in the underground system. In June, he reported that the fare would be only $ 1 per passenger. The Boring Company also has a contract in Chicago to build a loop for O'Hare International Airport. It is worth noting that Mask has gained a reputation for a person who does not adhere to the announced schedule. Therefore, no one hopes to ride on December 10th. But it is also important to recall that the projects announced by him were nevertheless realized.
