Encountering aliens or UFOs is called a close contact event. There are several levels that describe the nature of “communication”. Today's hero is not lucky, because the meeting with the unknown ended with health problems.
This event occurred on August 19, 1952 in Florida. The scout master S. S. Deverdges returned home in the evening with three members of his squad. Suddenly a bright glow appeared in the thickets. The man thought that there was an accident or one of the cars overturned.
Deverges took the flashlight and went to investigate, warning the squad members to go for help after 15 minutes if he did not return. The man approached the place of the glow and felt the unpleasant smell of some chemicals, and then he felt a strong fever. Suddenly he saw a large dark object in the form of a disk, which hovered a few meters above the surface.
Then a clang sounded like someone had opened an ungreased door, and a ball of red mist came down on him. Deverges fainted. The boys in the car watched the light and noticed a red flame, and then there was the sound of a fallen body. They ran for help to a neighboring farmhouse, where they called the deputy sheriff.
When help arrived, the UFO was gone. However, the scout master felt terrible: the hair on his hands was scorched, the skin was covered with burns, and even his cap visor was charred. The sheriff suspected that the cause of the incident lies in a natural phenomenon, but could not explain anything. No traces of fire or radiation remained on the surface.
Ufologists will attribute this event to the category of contact of the second level. Such meetings end in physical evidence, such as a deterioration in health or environmental damage.
Sometimes at the contact of the second level the equipment is switched off. The case of truck driver Pedro Saucedo seems remarkable. On November 2, 1957, he was driving north on Route 116 near Leveland (Texas), when he noticed a small flame ahead. Suddenly the car's engine stalled, and the headlights turned off.
Ahead, Saucedo spotted a torpedo-shaped UFO pulling in 60m and flying over his car at fast speed. As soon as the object disappeared, the car immediately earned. That night, the police registered 15 calls from witnesses of the “torpedo UFO”.
