Magnificent Dawn with ISS

ESA cosmonaut Alexander Gerst made this photo from the space station

The delightful dawn imprinted with the ISS is striking in its beauty. The crew members enjoy this spectacle 16 times a day, sending amazing photos. The specific frame belongs to the cosmonaut ESA Alexander Gerst. He posted it on Twitter on October 5. Admire the melted Sun floating out of a bright horizon with orange, yellow and blue stripes.

The German astronaut (geophysicist and volcanologist) knows how to capture beautiful moments on the ISS orbital station and shares them with its subscribers. In July, he sent an amazing photo of the moon and some views on Typhoon Trami in September.

Gerst took up the role of the commander of the ISS this week, having received the post from astronaut Andrew Fyustel who had flown to Earth. This is the second mission for Gerst on the space station.
