Ancient drawings in the Nazca desert. Ufologists point to extraterrestrial origin

The Nazca Plateau, located in southern Peru, is considered a favorite destination for ufologists and supporters of the theory of paleokontakt. Here, in an area of 5-7 km, you can find about 30 large animal drawings, geometric and extraterrestrial forms, created even before the II century AD. er But who formed them and why?

The Nazca lines remain a mystery after decades of research. Archaeologists suggest that they were formed by local residents (presumably the Incas or the Nazca civilization) to fix the fertility rituals. Ufologists, on the other hand, are convinced that before us are images created for newcomers (after all, drawings can be observed only from a great height), and straight lines serve as runways for ancient airports.

Made for ancient aliens?

The design of the Nazca lines is represented by a wide variety of shapes. These are recognizable animals like spiders, monkeys and lizards. But there are abstract figures hinting at extraterrestrial origin. You can find a huge number of just straight lines, which seem to be runways, used by aliens or ancient people.

The theory with runways has two groups of supporters. However, they diverge in purpose. The first group believes that these geoglyphs were used by aliens. They could have been created by extraterrestrial guests, or by people who thus attracted attention.

The second group is convinced that the lines were formed by people who, even in those ancient times, created the first aircraft. As an example, Inca artifacts that look like airplanes are cited (“Why does the Inca artifact resemble an aircraft?”). And they could invent these flying vehicles themselves or borrow technology from the newcomers.

The main problem with the extraterrestrial explanation is that nowhere else could we find hints of aliens. There is no evidence of crashed spaceships, fragments, alloys of rare metals or something else extraterrestrial. It can be assumed that the UFO just did not break, but scientists do not take this into account.

Who created the lines?

Researchers believe that the ancient representatives of the Nazca civilization would not be difficult to create these patterns. Experimental archeology has shown that a group of people is able to form lines in a few hours or days, using only the knowledge that the people of Nazca know about. This theory is also supported by the fact that this people really lived in this territory, unlike hypothetical aliens.

But if these patterns are created by the hand of man, then why? And here ufologists again return us to the idea with the runways. It seems that some lines specifically resemble hooks that will brake the aircraft. But scientists disagree. They believe that the ancient people could not see in these patterns that we see. They simply tried to display the plants and animals that seem to us machines, since we live in the age of technology.

One of the geoglyphs resembles a mill, although experts called the structure a flower. Scientists are convinced that we are inclined to compare everything with technology, because we are used to living in a new world. But the residents of Nazca acted more abstractly and created their own vision of the nature of the flower. Supporters of the runways are still holding on to ancient artifacts that resemble small models of aircraft. But archaeologists say that the Nazca civilization had nothing of the kind. After them, there are only these strange patterns and symbols. Of course, golden artifacts are found in the Kimbai culture, whose structure borders on natural and technical origins. But this is still not proof that the ancient people made flights.

Interestingly, some enthusiasts attempted to recreate the structure of Kimbai's gold statuettes on an enlarged scale, and they could actually fly. But archaeologists are convinced that the ancient people tried to display animals, and not flying machines or spaceships with rockets.

So, the official version is that the Nazca patterns were created by local ancient tribes. But why did they need to form them on such a huge scale that they are observed only from the height of the plane? And to whom were these strange messages meant? Researchers are still trying to find the truth.
