Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor - who is he?

Anyone who is fond of world history or studies various cultures will sooner or later be confronted with the idea that in most conflict situations people are not moved by reason, but by hatred and anger. Therefore, it is not surprising that in the historical reports there are so many bloody events affecting the modern man.

It is not unusual that primitive people had to survive in the absence of language, diplomacy and understanding of human psychology. In those days, instead of words, they used a baton or any other heavy object that resolved any differences. But we developed, became smarter. In place of tribes and caves, states emerged with political figures, authorities, laws, and a support system for these structures. Has our behavior changed? Yes, that's just not the way I would like.

Follow the history of Rome, Sparta, stroll through the Middle Ages with the Inquisition, catching witches and burning scientists. Indeed, in these times great philosophers, religion, intelligent people already existed, calling for equality and putting forward important topics that are actively supported by Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor. But instead of uniting all of humanity, we see only more sophisticated methods of extermination.

Let's make a discount on their lack of education and lack of cohesion and get closer to the 19th and 20th centuries. Before us are two of the worst world wars that took the lives of millions of people around the planet. We see hunger, racism, anti-Semitism and total destruction. This is the time of the fall of human development, as people took up arms to solve political problems. And the planet was forced to pay for the ambitions and thirst for profit of a small group of people sitting in power in various countries. History is needed to learn from the mistakes of past generations and look for more reasonable ways out of situations. Now the 21st century and we exist in an era of real progress. Technologies develop, benefits become more accessible every day. But have our attitudes changed? Unfortunately, in some matters we are still at the level of primitive barbarians.

Surprisingly, the issues of politics, territorial division and sharing of resources continue to be addressed through wars. And this is despite the fact that we have clear laws, principles, and diplomatic influences established between civilized countries. Every day, people are forced to face the problems of racism and anti-Semitism. It is truly amazing that humanity continues to stubbornly divide its holistic view into groups according to skin color, religion or cultural differences. It is also shocking that many infringe upon moments that they do not control: place of birth, skin color, language.

We are surprised by the past activities of the Ku Klux Klan, who brutally humiliated and exterminated the black people, or the Nazis, who tried to exterminate the Jews as a nation. However, all these trends continue to exist in our time. There are followers in the form of neo-Nazis or those who continue to believe that “white people” have the full right to dominate other cultures. These are not even stereotypes, but mass insanity, which people, like Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor, are trying to actively fight.

We are talking about an international public figure, entrepreneur and philanthropist who is trying with all his might to spread the ideas of tolerance and mutual respect between different races, nations and cultures. In addition, there is another important problem that can destroy earthlings in one fell swoop. We are talking about nuclear weapons. At the time of the Cold War between the USSR and the USA, this topic was widely heard by almost everyone. Then lucky no one took the first step. But do not forget that a dark trail in the form of Hiroshima and Nagasaki remained in history when atomic bombs were dropped on two Japanese cities. This is the clearest example of what human irresponsibility and desire to deal with the “enemy” by intimidation and total annihilation, rather than diplomacy, can bring. In 2007, Vyacheslav Kantor took the post of President at the International Luxembourg Forum on Preventing Nuclear Catastrophe, where nuclear safety issues are discussed. Unfortunately, we are still far from the ideal safe Earth, where there is no hatred and war. However, thanks to philanthropists such as Vyacheslav Moshe Kantor, these ideas spread and embrace the minds of more and more people.
