SpaceX delivers satellite for Luxembourg

SpaceX used the Falcon 9 rocket to launch a 4-ton military satellite for the Government of Luxembourg from Cape Canaveral

January 31, SpaceX launched a 4-ton military satellite GovSat-1 - the result of the cooperation of Luxembourg and SES. Representatives of the company reported that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister of Luxembourg with the prince and princess were on the launch pad.

The Falcon 9 rocket took off from Cape Canaveral (California). The device will set up a reliable communication line for tactical operations, sea missions and when working with affected areas. GovSat-1 is tied to a remote geostationary orbit and will maintain contact in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It will also allow operations on the Atlantic and Indian oceans and the Mediterranean with the Baltic Sea. The Californian company SpaceX managed to make 21 successful landings after the launch of the rocket, while continuing to develop the technology of reusable expensive rocket parts.

The launch on January 31 was fulfilled 3 weeks after the secret cargo of Zuma was delivered to the US government. Press representatives reported that the satellite was not seen in orbit, but no explanations were given at the Pentagon. In SpaceX also did not comment on the situation, citing the problems of national security.
