Second test flight for the Virgin Galactic

Virgin Galactic conducted a second missile test flight of its tourist spacecraft in the sky over California.

The company reports that VSS Unity launched a rocket engine within 31 seconds and climbed to a height of 34,899 meters on Tuesday. Then she went to land in the air and space port of the Mojave.

Virgin Galactic founder Richard Branson was ready to welcome pilots Dave Mackay and Mark Stucky, as well as the crew of an aircraft carrier who launched the spacecraft. The first flight came on April 5th. At Virgin Galactic, they report that they are bringing a company closer to their goal — to fly a spacecraft more often than is typical of human launches.
