Vega launches Morocco’s Earth observation satellite

On November 21, 2018, the Vega rocket launched from the French cosmodrome in French Guiana to deliver the Mohammed VI-B Earth Observation Satellite to the Kingdom of Morocco

The French company Arianespace used the Vega rocket launch to deliver an earth observation satellite into orbit for the Kingdom of Morocco. The launch took place on November 21 from the cosmodrome in Kourou (French Guiana).

With a mass of 1108 kg ascended, the Mohammed VI-B satellite reached the target sun-synchronous orbit 55 minutes after two roasting of the upper stage of the Vega rocket. By observing the rules regarding space debris, the upper stage was disconnected for the last time in order to quickly return and burn in the atmosphere above the ocean.

Vega is a four-stage vehicle with a height of 30 m. The purpose of the rocket is to place small scientific and ground loads (300-2500 kg) in orbit.
