Successful testing of the South Korean rocket engine

A single-stage rocket was launched in South Korea to test the engine as part of efforts to place a satellite in orbit. The Ministry of Science confirms that the testing of the engine was successful when the rocket took off from the south coast on November 28, 2018.

It is reported that South Korea intends to develop a domestic space launch vehicle by 2021. In 2013, the country managed to launch a satellite into orbit using a rocket from Korean territory. But parts for the rocket were created with the help of Russia. It is worth mentioning the competition with North Korea, which in 2012 was the first to launch a satellite into space. Last year, three intercontinental ballistic missile tests were conducted in North Korea.
