Russia reports a computer error on the ISS

Roscosmos reports that one of the computers on the International Space Station is faulty, but the failure does not pose any danger to the crew. The problem was announced on November 6th. The report said that one of three computers in the Russian module of the station failed. Russian dispatchers plan to overload it on November 8.

The agency stressed that the computer problem will not affect the station team - Serina Aunon-Chancellor, Sergey Prokopiev and Alexander Gerst. The station will be supported by two other computers.

The crash followed the canceled launch of new crew members last month. Tyler Haig and Alexei Ovchinin completed a safe emergency landing after a Russian rocket crashed two minutes after the launch on October 11. The next launch is scheduled for early December.
