Inflating Sh2-308

Inflating Sh2-308

A couple of trump cards are stored in the Hubble Space Telescope to study cosmic wonders. He manages to simultaneously depict two neighboring celestial areas, but using different cameras. One looks at a specific goal, and the second examines the nearest territory in order to fix the appearance of new and important objects for science.

The picture shows a part of a gas cloud resembling a bubble - Sh2-308. It surrounds the massive EZ Big Dog star. For research, an extended camera is used for searching and Wide-angle camera 3.

The star is an object of Wolf-Rayet and is one of the most popular in this form. She spent a long time wasting the outer shell of hydrogen in a gaseous state, until she discovered layers with heavier elements that burned with strong heating. The star produces powerful radiation, creating thick winds, inflating material. Because of this, the gas around sulked like a giant bubble. The nebula is filled with ionized hydrogen (H II) - a common substance in the cosmic expanses. It turns out that the outer spheres of hydrogen create a bubble that is forced to expand due to the continuous flow of radiation (stellar winds). In the frame it is noticeable that the stripes are narrow and foggy.
