Russian researchers studying the origin of the hole that created the oxygen leakage on the ISS, said that the incident was intentionally caused. This was announced by the head of the space agency Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin. The Commission concluded that a manufacturing defect should be excluded.
Rogozin said that the main suspicion falls on the fact that the hole was intentionally drilled. Now the second commission is working with this line of investigation. A small hole in the wall of the space capsule of the Soyuz spacecraft, docked with the ISS, was discovered in August and quickly sealed.
They also presented a number of possible causes of a hole. First of all, Russian officials have officially denied thoughts in the media that American astronauts could specifically drill a hole in order to send a sick colleague to Earth. The current commander of the space station, Andrew Fustel, said that such words embarrassed the whole team. Dmitry Rogozin became the main Roscosmos in May last year. Analysts then wrote that this would cause problems for the combat sector. The bottom line is that Rogozin was on the list of sanctions in connection with the situation in Ukraine in 2014, and he admitted that it was difficult to work with NASA.
Rogozin also claims that SpaceX founder Ilon Mask is seeking to oust Russia from the space services market and complained about the US military drone X-37, whose purpose no one understands yet.
