Live: NASA Announces Latest Exoplanetary Information

At the hour of Eastern time (21:00 Moscow time) they will announce the “latest data” about exoplanets. So we expect the disclosure of new secrets.

Although not many details, NASA reported astronomers' new findings in the announcement of today's program on the agency’s website. The announcement is related to research that will be published in the journal Nature.

The program was attended by many famous scientists involved in the study of exoplanets. Only one line hints at the essence of the statement: “to provide new data about planets orbiting around foreign stars (known as exoplanets)”.

Space observatories and powerful terrestrial systems are engaged in the detection and study of alien worlds revolving around distant stars. Up to now hundreds of exoplanets, as well as even more exoplanetary candidates, have already confirmed their existence. Watch the broadcast:

As the methods and technologies are constantly being improved, more and more small exoplanets resembling our Earth are found, which are also located within the star's habitable zone (an ideal location for water). The hunt for the “second Earth” is one of the main astronomical tasks of our time. By the way, one of the objectives of the study of Sarah Singer is to “search for and identify the second Earth”, and the work of Nicole Lewis focuses on understanding the exoplanetary atmosphere. These scientists are part of the program.

While we know that exoplanets give endless possibilities and challenge even the most daring ideas in science fiction. Therefore, today we can learn something really amazing.
