China has announced lunar plans and a mission to Mars

As indicated in the new statement released on Tuesday, the Chinese government hopes for a successful landing of the probe on the dangerous side of the Earth satellite by 2018 and sending a robotic mission to Mars in 2020.

China is not inferior in space development. Recently, the country has achieved tremendous success in launching robots into orbit and beyond.

China presented a five-year plan, the purpose of which is to accelerate the development of space technology, to become the first country to complete a soft landing of a robotic probe on the far side of the moon, and launch its first mission to the Red Planet. Both achievements must come true before 2020.

The plans of the Chinese National Space Administration include “exploring outer space and promoting a deeper understanding of Earth and space, the use of outer space for peaceful purposes, promoting the development of human civilization and social progress, achieving benefits for all mankind, thanks to the satisfaction of economic requirements, scientific and technological development, national security. As well as raising the cultural level of the Chinese people, protecting the national law and interests of China and building up common power. ” For a country, space exploration is a matter of national pride. And they have achieved tremendous success in human robotic flights. In 2003, the agency conducted its first manned space flight, followed by a spacewalk in 2008. In 2011, they put into orbit the first prototype of the Chinese space station, Tanyagun-1. During the two years of operation, he was visited by a series of spacecraft, including Shenzhou 8, 9, and 10. All went well, and the last two delivered astronauts to an orbital outpost. They are notable for the fact that on board were the first two women-cosmonaut of the country - Liu Yang and Wang Yaping.

Tyangun-1 is now falling apart in orbit and replaced by Tyangun-2, where Jing Heipeng and Chen Dong recently visited the Shenzhou 11 mission for 30 days. This is the longest flight in the entire Chinese space history. These prototype space laboratories act as test benches and pave the way for the planned permanent space station, which will be launched in the 2020s.

In 2013, the agency attracted attention due to the successful landing of the rover on the lunar surface. This was the first soft landing since 1970. Yuytu's apparatus was part of Chang'e-3, a series of robotic lunar missions designed to prepare future human landings. Rover has been doing research on the moon for 31 months. China’s long-term goal is to send astronauts to the Moon. Despite the fact that it did not appear in the statement, the agency hopes to land another robot on the satellite in 2018. But it is much more difficult to do. No one has made a trouble-free landing on the rocky side, so if successful, China will be the first.

They are also going to explore Mars, deliver samples and “study the evolution of the solar system and find extraterrestrial life.” They may also go to study Jupiter and its satellites.

Regardless of the results, we can already say that the agency is developing at an incredibly fast rate. China is indeed becoming a major player in space exploration.
