Japanese space tourist is ready to train for moon flight

The Japanese billionaire and future space tourist, Yusaku Maedzawa, is training before being sent to the moon. But at the press conference on October 8, he joked that it should not be too difficult.

Maezawa, 42, paid a secret amount for a ticket for the SpaceX rocket Ilona Mask to fly around the moon in 2023. This is a passionate art collector, so he bought places for a group of artists, sculptors and musicians who will share his impressions with him.

Maezawa says that it’s not yet decided what kind of training he should go through, and he joked again in Japanese, which will definitely have to learn English. He also said that in his company it happens 3-4 times a week, spending 6 hours on work. The rest of the time is allotted for other projects and lunar training.

Maezawa will ride on board the Big Falcon Rocket (BFR), which should be developed in 5 years. Its creation was announced back in 2016, valuing $ 5 billion. It is advertised as the most powerful rocket in history, surpassing even the famous Saturn-5 for the launch of the Apollo mission.

Maezawa said he was confident in safety and intends to invite representatives of creative professions with him. But he has not yet begun negotiations with potential fellow travelers. Most of all he wants to see the Earth from space.

Yusaku Maezawa is the chief executive officer of the largest online clothing store in Japan and occupies the 13th position in the ranking of the rich people of the country (the state is $ 2.8 billion). He does not deny that the decision to go to the moon was an excellent advertisement that increased his awareness in the press.
