Trump plans to bring Americans back to the moon

On December 11, US President Donald Trump spoke out in support of the Earth satellite research missions. He also said that he would help prepare for a trip to Mars.

“This time we will not only set the flag,” he said, “but also master Mars, creating the opportunity to visit more distant worlds.”

The last time the Americans set foot on the moon during the Apollo missions in the 1960-1970s. In 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first person to set foot on an earth satellite.

New missions will focus on human intelligence, to establish long-term stay of people on the moon and the use of the surface as a colony.

Representatives from the White House said that America intended to work with other countries to develop technologies for long missions and flights aimed at exploring the entire system. The first manned flight to Mars is scheduled for the 20-30s.
