The constellation Hounds Dogs hides an interesting galaxy NGC 4656. Also surprising is its unofficial nickname - Hockey Stick. If you have already seen some pictures, you might not understand why this particular name was chosen. A typical overview shows only a bright central part, but if you take a full-fledged image from the right angle, the galaxy really looks like this object.
An unusual form is explained by contact with neighbors: NGC 4631 and NGC 4627. When interacting on such a scale, a celestial object is able to completely deform, moving stellar, gas and dust arrays to other locations. In recent years, the Hubble Space Telescope has been able to capture many bizarre forms, some of which resembled a rose or egg.
