Astronauts performed a space walk to install cameras for new crew capsules that are due to appear in the coming months.
This honor went to the commander of the ISS Andrew Fiestel and Richard Arnold, who entered the space on Thursday. The main task was to install a pair of high-definition cameras. They are intended to review the crew’s commercial capsules arriving at the station.
While SpaceX and Boeing do not launch astronaut launches at NASA are forced to rely on Russian capsules. It costs $ 82 million per person.
NASA is not launching astronauts into space from American ground since the last shuttle in 2011. SpaceX and Boeing are seeking to fly test flights from Cape Canaveral (Florida) by the end of 2018.
