Churchill wanted to know if we were alone in the universe.

Churchill wrote:

I think that in the near future it will be possible to go to the Moon, Venus and even visit Mars”.

But Winston Churchill still believed that only Venus and the Earth are capable of supporting life. Although now we know that there are many satellites around Jupiter and Saturn with favorable conditions.

Churchill described his worries:

I am not impressed with the success of our civilization, which we are achieving here. Therefore, it is difficult for me to admit that we are the only place in this huge Universe where life and thinking beings are present. It is even more difficult to believe that we are the pinnacle of mental and physical development in all outer space. ”
