UK seeks to develop its own space industry after its role in European space projects has become ambiguous due to the exit from the EU
The British Space Agency reported that it chose the Sutherland peninsula on the northern coast of Scotland as the site of the country's first space port. They believe that this is the best point in the UK to reach satellite orbits on the requirements for vertically launched rockets.
