Venus could have an ocean

Scientists have discovered that Venus in the past could have an ocean. Today it is distinguished by a barren and desolate landscape, hinting at extremely hot temperature conditions. But the researchers are convinced that before the sky was sucked in by a sufficient amount of clouds, at which the surface was not so hot and could accommodate the ocean.

The speed of rotation of Venus is much slower than the Earth. So one day is equivalent to 116 for us. Scientists used this factor to create a computer model. They also contributed carbon dioxide figures, the amount of incoming solar heat and the possible amount of water. The latter criterion was based on the principle of the formation of rocky planets. It turned out that if the planet had in the past the present amount of carbon dioxide, it could have water. When the cloud layer of the ocean in volume would reach 30% of the earth. Of course, the model does not act 100% proof, but it hints at the possibility.

Earth apparatus made landing on a hot planet, but no one managed to get under the surface to determine the level of possible water.
