A letter to President Thomas Jefferson may be the earliest recorded visitation of an alien
According to the official letter of 1813, former US President Thomas Jefferson managed to keep the earliest mention of UFO sightings. The story began in Portsmouth (Virginia), where the local tavern owner and his friend believed they saw a UFO. Two men wrote a letter to the then president, describing a mysterious celestial object.
They explained that at first it was a meteorite, which suddenly changed shape to a human one and plunged into a smoke screen. The message also stated: “We sincerely demand that your honor give us your opinion on the next unusual phenomenon. In the South, we observed a ball of fire that looked like the Sun in Meridian. He disappeared for 10 minutes in the smoke that he created with his own body. In the end, he advanced westward and disappeared. ” There is no evidence that the president responded by writing. However, this may be the earliest officially registered UFO surveillance report.
