Google Inc. is creating a lot of weird and interesting technologies, following the trends of the new space age. However, not so long ago, one of the devices accidentally caused a special stir because it was confused with a UFO.
In 2017, residents of the small town of San Luis in Colombia discovered a strange crashing mechanism. The design blinked, and a strange, steaming liquid flowed from the damaged part.
One of the locals said:
“We all thought it was a UFO or the remains of a crashed spacecraft”.
Well, the eyewitnesses were right in something. In fact, the Internet drone belonging to the Loon project (belonging to Google) turned out to be a strange square object. He uses balloons to organize Internet access in such remote parts of the world as Sri Lanka.
Despite all the sophistication and manufacturability, even Google is not immune from accidents and falls. One of these balls crashed in Sri Lanka back in 2016. At first, the locals in San Luis thought they saw a satellite. Policeman Jorge Esgerra arrived at the scene and said that the UFO is not a satellite. He confirmed that before us is just a technological device of the corporation Google, which moves across the sky with the help of a balloon.
But we can understand the inhabitants of San Luis, who believe that the aliens can land almost in the backyard. In the network, videos about finding strange mechanisms or UFOs in the sky are increasingly appearing.
The balloon crash with Google is just one case in a series of unexplained phenomena in this area. Since 1990, the number of UFO sightings has been increasing.
