Dragon V2 equipment is ready for testing.

SpaceX's Dragon V2 capsule is located at Plum Brook Station (Ohio) to be tested in an ISP (space propulsion system). It is the only facility in the world capable of testing full-scale launch vehicles and rocket engines under simulated high-altitude conditions.

The camera will allow SpaceX and NASA to confirm the ability of Dragon V2 to withstand extreme temperatures and spatial vacuum.

This spacecraft will be used by SpaceX during the first demonstration mission under a contract with NASA for the “Commercial Crew”. The goal is to return to the United States the possibility of launching astronauts from US territory (replacement of the shuttle program).
