Labor Day in space! How do astronauts celebrate the holiday on the ISS?

September 3, in Canada and America, Labor Day is celebrated on a grand scale. Moreover, the remoteness from Earth with its traditions did not prevent the three American astronauts living on the ISS and celebrating in space from getting a day off.

Now on board the station are Commander Andrew Fiestel, Richard Arnold and Serin Aunen-Chancellor. They were given a few extra days of rest for the holiday, since the previous weekend was spent on repairing a small leak in the Soyuz capsule seen on August 29. This leakage was corrected the next day, which allowed the crew member to return to his usual duties and routine. Astronauts can spend their day off as they please. Of course, there are a number of mandatory tasks in the schedule, such as training to develop muscles, but in their spare time the crew members indulge themselves with their hobbies. And some even tried to play table tennis (which is unusual, given the weightlessness).

September for Fustel and Arnold promises to be busy. Each of them is preparing for a space walk. In October, they plan to return to Earth. But Aunen-Chancellor delayed until December.
