The new image of the Hubble telescope demonstrates a galaxy of the dwarf type NGC 4625. It lives on the territory of the Hounds of Dogs at a distance of 30 million light years. For shooting they used an ACS camera that captured a single spiral arm. Because of this, an asymmetric view is created. But why is he alone?

Scientists examined the galaxy in different wavelengths, trying to understand this mystery. The review in UV light gave the first hint: the galactic disk is shown 4 times larger than in this image. It turns out that there are a huge number of young and red-hot stars with a billion years old, which is 10 times less than the stars that appear in visible light.

Hence the assumption that the high speed of star birth was created by contact with the dwarf galaxy NGC 4618, which is why the sleeve was destroyed. In 2004, they found confirmation of this theory.
